PSD is not even a bad format. Calling it such would be an insult to other bad formats, such as PCX or JPEG.

If there are two different ways of doingvsomething, PSD will do both, in different places. It will then make up three more ways no sane human would think of, and do those too. Das einzige, was noch besser ist, als solche Kommentare, ist seine Abneigung gleich im Namen laut und deutlich klarzumachen, wie z.B. in Apache's POI-Bibliothek zum Lesen von MS-Office-Dokumenten.
Da haben die einzelnen Format-Komponenten es so schöne Namen wie HSSF (Horrible Spread Sheet Format) oder HWPF (Horrible Word Processor Format)
